Before the Eagles take the field in their interconference matchup against the Cleveland Browns, our writers need to come up with some bold predictions for the game.
Here's a recap of previous bold predictions from each week and the winning predictor from our writers:
Week 1: no one
Week 2: Andrew W.
Week 3: no one
Week 4: Andrew W. (partial)
Week 5: Paul (partial)
Week 6: no one
Week 7: Andrew Palagruto; Caitlin (partial)
Week 8: Caitlin (partial); Travis (partial)
Week 9: BYE
Week 10: Andrew W. (partial)
We'll see if anyone can have a fully correct prediction this week as the Eagles try to get their fourth win of the season and keep their lead in the NFC East. Here's what our writers are boldly predicting for this weekend:
Andrew W: With rain in the forecast for the entire game, expect this game to be decided on the ground. The Browns have a dynamic rushing attack, but I predict that neither Nick Chubb nor Kareem Hunt will get over 70+ rushing yards. The Eagles defense will just have to be careful about play-action bootlegs and designed runs for the quarterback or wide receivers.
Caitlin: Eagles win. Is that bold enough? Carson Wentz and Miles Sanders both rush for touchdowns and the defense holds the Browns to just 13 points. Eagles win 17-13.
Trevor: I hate how wrong I’ve been all year, but here goes nothing -- the Eagles defense plays “pissed off” football and forces three turnovers and three sacks. Eagles win an ugly one 17-3.
Paul: Miles Sanders will run for a 65+ yard touchdown, totaling 150+ yards from scrimmage in the game. Carson Wentz will throw for 300 yards with one touchdown pass to Dallas Goedert. Final score -- Eagles 20 Browns 17
Andrew Palagruto: Miles Sanders rushes for a touchdown and Travis Fulgham will have a bounce-back game with a touchdown reception.
Chalie: This will be the worst loss of the season. The offense puts less than 150 total yards and the defense lets up 30+ points. Final score -- Browns 35 Eagles 10
