Eagles Reach Their Initial 53-Man Roster

The Eagles have released enough players and now have an initial 53-man roster for the 2023 season.

There will likely be some changes to the roster before Week 1's game against the New England Patriots, especially since the team did not keep a punter. If the team doesn't find a punter they like when they bring them in for workouts, they could always bring Arryn Siposs back on the practice squad and call him up for the first three games of the season. After that the Birds would have to either sign Siposs to the 53-man roster or find another punter to call up from the practice squad.

Another part of the roster that fans will keep a close eye on is who will be the team's kick and punt returners. Boston Scott was the team's primary kick returner last year and will likely keep that role. With Britain Covey not on the roster (for now), the team could use Quez Watkins or Olamide Zaccheaus as the punt returner to start the season.
