Bold Predictions: Eagles at Giants

Before the Eagles take the field in their divisional matchup against the New York Giants, our writers need to come up with some bold predictions for the game.

Here's a recap of previous bold predictions from each week and the winning predictor from our writers:

Week 1: no one

Week 2: Andrew W.

Week 3: no one

Week 4: Andrew W. (partial)

Week 5: Paul (partial)

Week 6: no one

Week 7: Andrew Palagruto; Caitlin (partial)

Week 8: Caitlin (partial); Travis (partial)

Week 9: BYE

We'll see if anyone can have a fully correct prediction this week as the Eagles try to get their third divisional win and extend their lead in the NFC East. Here's what our writers are boldly predicting for this weekend:

  • Andrew W: Even though Miles Sanders is healthy for this game, Doug Pederson won't keep the "Giant Killer" Boston Scott on the bench. Scott will record two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving) and make Giants fans miserable as they realize they can not contain a backup running back.

  • Caitlin: Miles Sanders, Travis Fulgham, and Carson Wentz (on the ground) each get a TD. The defense will also hold the Giants to just 13 points.

  • Trevor: Carson Wentz will throw for 350+ yards and toss three touchdowns to three different receivers. The Eagles will win this one handily 31-13.

  • Paul: Carson Wentz throws for two touchdowns and runs one in himself (but he'll throw two picks). Miles Sanders makes his triumphant return by scoring two touchdowns on the ground. Final score: Eagles 28 - Giants 7

  • Dylan: T.J. Edwards shows why he is the best linebacker on the Eagles by recording two sacks and also leading the defense in tackles on Sunday. Bonus bold prediction: Jordan Mailata lines up as running back for one down.

  • Andrew Palagruto: Travis Fulgham will continue his breakout season with 75+ receiving yards and a touchdown against the Giants.

  • Chalie: Carson Wentz doesn’t fix his turnover issues in this game, but the defense steps up. The defense will help provide the offense with 10 points from turnovers and they will only let up one touchdown. The final score will be Eagles 21 - Giants 10.
