The Birds head into Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers undefeated in their previous two games. Before the teams take the field, our writers need to make their bold predictions for the game known.
Here's a recap of previous bold predictions from each week and the winning predictor from our writers:
Week 1: no one
Week 2: Andrew W.
Week 3: no one
Week 4: Andrew W. (partial)
We'll see if anyone can have a fully correct prediction this week as the Eagles try to go three consecutive weeks without a loss. Here's what our writers are boldly predicting for this weekend:
Andrew W: With wet weather expected during the game, I expect both defenses to play pretty well with the quarterback play on both teams being average at best. For my bold prediction, I'll say one Eagles defensive lineman will come away with an interception. The d-line as a collective unit will also continue their hot streak with 4+ sacks.
Caitlin: Carson Wentz tosses three touchdowns and the defense holds Pittsburgh to less than 14 points.
Trevor: Carson Wentz surpasses his totals from his first meeting against the Steelers in his rookie year. He'll end up with 350 yards passing and three touchdowns. The defense will hold tough and the Eagles will win 24-9.
Paul: It’s going to be a battle of defenses with a low scoring final score with a field goal determining the winner. I have the Eagles falling short of an upset -- Steelers 20 Eagles 17.
Gianfranco: Javon Hargrave has a monster performance against his former team, resulting in two sacks and a fumble recovery for a touchdown.
