Bold Predictions: Eagles vs Cowboys

First place in the NFC East is at stake on Sunday Night Football as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys at Lincoln Financial Field.

Before the Eagles take the field in their divisional matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, our writers need to come up with some bold predictions for the game.

Here's a recap of previous bold predictions from each week and the winning predictor from our writers:

Week 1: no one

Week 2: Andrew W.

Week 3: no one

Week 4: Andrew W. (partial)

Week 5: Paul (partial)

Week 6: no one

Week 7: Andrew Palagruto; Caitlin (partial)

We'll see if anyone can have a fully correct prediction this week as the Eagles try to get their second divisional win and remain on top in the NFC East. Here's what our writers are boldly predicting for this weekend:

  • Andrew W: A few Eagles will have standout performances under the lights of primetime football -- Richard Rodgers will have 75+ receiving yards, Darius Slay will record his first interception as an Eagle, and Jake Elliott will get back on track with two 50+ yard field goals made.

  • Caitlin: Jalen Reagor, Greg Ward, and Travis Fulgham each get a touchdown and the defense records four sacks in this divisional matchup.

  • Trevor: Carson Wentz dominates a depleted Cowboys defense with 450+ yards passing and four TDs. The Eagles dominate this one 49-14.

  • Paul: Carson Wentz will throw two touchdowns and run one in as well. The defense will be able to pull down Ben DiNucci four times in a 24-17 Eagles win.

  • Gianfranco: This game will be remembered as "The Jalen Reagor Game" — four receptions, two touchdowns, and 120+ receiving yards for the Eagles first-round pick.

  • Travis: The Eagles defense forces 3+ turnovers and take one back for a touchdown. The Eagles win easily 31-17.

  • Dylan: Boston Scott will have a rushing touchdown and a receiving touchdown with 160+ yards from scrimmage.

  • Andrew Palagruto: Carson Wentz throws for 300+ passing yards, Boston Scott will get a touchdown on the ground, and Travis Fulgham goes for 100+ yards and a TD. in an Eagles victory.
