The Birds head into Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens looking to come up with a major upset victory. Before the teams take the field, our writers need to make their bold predictions for the game known.
Here's a recap of previous bold predictions from each week and the winning predictor from our writers:
Week 1: no one
Week 2: Andrew W.
Week 3: no one
Week 4: Andrew W. (partial)
Week 5: Paul (partial)
We'll see if anyone can have a fully correct prediction this week as the Eagles try to get back into first place in the NFC East. Here's what our writers are boldly predicting for this weekend:
Andrew W: With more shakeups to the offensive line, the Eagles will need to get creative once again in their offensive gameplan. That's why I'm saying that Carson Wentz will have more rushing yards than Lamar Jackson in this matchup.
Caitlin: Carson Wentz will connect with Travis Fulgham for two touchdowns and Miles Sanders will get his fourth rushing touchdown of the season. The defense will also record 3+ sacks in a narrow 28-27 Eagles victory.
Trevor: Darius Slay will record his first interception with the Eagles in a shocking 31-30 win for the Birds.
Paul: The Eagles will shock everyone by shutting down Lamar Jackson. The defense will keep him in the pocket all game long and sack him twice. Meanwhile, Carson Wentz will throw for three touchdowns (two to Travis Fulgham). Final score: Eagles 24 Ravens 14
Gianfranco: Zach Ertz will score two touchdowns with 7 catches and 100+ yards receiving on the day.
Andrew Palagruto: I’ll say Miles Sanders rushes for a touchdown and also catches his first touchdown reception as well.
