Before the Eagles take the field in their divisional matchup against the New York Giants, our writers need to come up with some bold predictions for the game.
Here's a recap of previous bold predictions from each week and the winning predictor from our writers:
Week 1: no one
Week 2: Andrew W.
Week 3: no one
Week 4: Andrew W. (partial)
Week 5: Paul (partial)
Week 6: no one
We'll see if anyone can have a fully correct prediction this week as the Eagles try to get their first divisional win. Here's what our writers are boldly predicting for this weekend:
Andrew W: Boston Scott has five career touchdowns -- four of them have come against the New York Giants. He will continue to play the role of David when it comes to facing the Goliaths (Giants) -- Scott will finish with two total touchdowns and will be active in the passing game with at least five catches.
Caitlin: The Eagles win with a big game from Carson Wentz. 350+ passing yards will be distributed to at least five different receivers. The defense will also score a touchdown in this game.
Trevor: Shutout time! The Eagles defense finishes with 5+ sacks and one interception. Birds win 31-0.
Paul: The Eagles are going to go off against the Giants. Carson Wentz will throw three touchdowns -- Travis Fulgham will have two and DeSean Jackson will have one in his return. Daniel Jones will be sacked three times and the final score will be 24-3 Eagles.
Gianfranco: DeSean Jackson scores two 40+ yard touchdowns in his return.
Andrew Palagruto: Carson Wentz finishes the game with over 300 passing yards and three total touchdowns (two passing, one rushing)
Spencer: Eagles defense gets a pick-six, but the game is a close one. Carson Wentz continues the momentum left off from last week and keeps the offense in the game with three touchdowns and zero interceptions. The Eagles move to first in the division once again after a 30-27 win over the Giants.
