This weekend the Eagles will finally play a home game for the first time in almost a month, a game at the Linc against the Chicago Bears. Before the teams take the field, our writers need to make their bold predictions for the game known. Here's a recap of previous bold predictions from each week and the winning predictor from our writers:
Week 1: Mike W.
Week 2: Michael V. (partial credit)
Week 3: no correct predictions
Week 4: Andrew W. & Mike W. (both partial credit)
Week 5: Chalie (Dylan partial credit)
Week 6: Dylan (partial credit)
Week 7: no correct predictions
Week 8: no correct predictions
We'll see if anyone can have a fully correct prediction this weeks as the Eagles try to get back to above .500. Here's what our writers are boldly predicting for this weekend:
Michael V.: DeSean Jackson comes back and while probably still not 100% healthy, I can see him going two touchdowns and 100+ yards. Go Birds.
Andrew: If DeSean Jackson does in fact play, he will open up the rest of the offense to much better matchups. If Jackson is on the field for a majority of the plays, Zach Ertz will have his first big game of 2019, racking up 10+ receptions, 125+ receiving yards and a touchdown.
Chalie: The Eagles running back corps goes off for 200+ yards and three touchdowns again
Dylan: Eagles secondary has a field day with interceptions, getting four in total and only allowing one pass touchdown.
Travis: Four words: Jordan Howard revenge game. 100 rushing yards and a touchdown for Howard proving to Chicago they should've kept him.
Alexis: The Eagles offense dominates the game and gets off to a fast start, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter. Eagles defeat the Bears 30-24.
