Bold Predictions: Eagles vs. Jets

This weekend the Eagles return home to face the New York Jets at Lincoln Financial Field. Before the teams take the field our writers need to make their bold predictions for the game known.

Here's a recap of previous bold predictions from each week and the winning predictor from our writers:

Week 1: Mike W.

Week 2: Michael V. (partial credit)

Week 3: no correct predictions

Week 4: Andrew W. & Mike W. (partial credit)

We'll see if anyone can have a fully correct prediction this weeks as the Eagles try to go above .500 once again. Here's what our writers are boldly predicting for this weekend:

Michael V.: Carson Wentz will have a field day. I like him for four TDs (three passing and one rushing to be exact) in a rout of the Jets. This team is about to enter a daunting road schedule and I see the offense kicking it into gear against a not very good Jets game. Hopefully that carries over into the stretch. Go Birds.

Andrew: The Jets offense has been awful this season, especially because Sam Darnold has missed the past few games with mono. With Luke Falk under center on Sunday, Malcolm Jenkins is going to have two interceptions, one of them being returned for a touchdown.

Mike W.: Because the Eagles for whatever reason always go against conventional wisdom, I will too. Carson Wentz will have his best career statistical day throwing for over his career best 364 yards with four TDs. Eagles win 41-13.

Alexis: The Eagles go into this weeks game with confidence at home. The offensive line has to pick up for the lack on the d-line. Eagles pull out another win 32-14.

Chalie: Playing against a poor offense right now, the Eagles defense steps up big and they will by scoring two defensive TDs.

Dylan: Eagles win 38 to 3 with Carson throwing for 400 yards and three touchdowns and Jordan Howard rushes for two touchdowns. While our defense uses blitz packages to cover our crippled secondary and get 10 sacks.

Travis: I believe Miles Sanders will have 200 All-purpose yards and two TDs; 1 rushing and 1 kick return. The Eagles are poised to get ahead early and use the RBs to close out the game, giving Miles a lot of opportunity. Eagles win 33-17.
