We are now through six weeks of the USFL season. Week 1 showed some promise with former Eagles players, and Week 2 was mostly the same players getting the same production they had the previous week. Week 3 saw some good progress for quite a few former Birds. Week 4 started to show which former Eagles have carved out permanent roles for their teams, and much of the same unfolded in Week 5. Now we are taking a look at the matchups from Week 6
A reminder that a total of 12 players in the league have spent at least some time on the Eagles 53-man roster or training camp roster. Every team has at least one former Eagle except for the Philadelphia Stars.
Here's a look at the former Eagles who appeared in this weekend's boxscores:
New Jersey Generals

DT Destiny Vaeao: N/A
CB De'Vante Bausby: 2 tackles, 1 pass defended, 1 interception
S Trae Elston: 1 tackle
Michigan Panthers
DB Jameson Houston: 5 tackles
DT JaQuan Bailey: 5 tackles
Birmingham Stallions
TE Cary Angeline: 0 receptions (1 target)
Pittsburgh Maulers
QB Kyle Lauletta: N/A
Houston Gamblers
QB Clayton Thorson: 15/19, 171 passing yards, 3 passing touchdowns, 1 interception
New Orleans Breakers
DE Shareef Miller: N/A
Tampa Bay Bandits
S Obi Melifonwu: 4 tackles
WR Rashard Davis: 3 receptions (4 targets), 83 yards (including an impressive contested catch on 4th-and-10 to keep the Bandits alive late in the 4th quarter)
Philadelphia Stars
The Stars had an impressive outing from their running back Matt Colborn, who registered 180 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns on 18 attempts. Facing a potentially game-tying drive from the Tampa Bay Bandits, the Stars stepped up in the redzone and forced a turnover on downs to secure a victory. The Stars are now 3-3 and are in a playoff position as they remain in 2nd place in the division (the top 2 teams in each division advance to playoffs).
We'll track these former Eagles along with the Philadelphia Stars throughout their seasons to see if any play well enough to earn another chance in the NFL, and possibly another chance in Philadelphia.
