Two Eagles Defenders Among Top Three Performers of Week 8

The Eagles left Buffalo with a statement 31-13 win over the Bills. The offense rushed their way to victory, while the defense held its ground and improved from their previous two disastrous games (although they certainly had some help from the wind and rain). Two Eagles defenders played so well, that Pro Football Focus graded them as two of the top three defenders for all of Week 8.

T.J. Edwards received a grade of 95.1, while Brandon Graham received a grade of 92.6

Although Edwards graded extremely high, it needs to be noted that he only played 14 snaps on defense. Still, that small sample size shows that he deserves a chance at a larger role on the defense, especially since the team is scarce at linebacker after the release of Zach Brown and the injury Nigel Bradham is dealing with.

Graham had a dominant game against the Bills, racking up five total tackles, one sack, three QB hits, one QB hurry, four run stops and of course that game-changing forced fumble and recovery.

The Eagles will start a three game home stand this weekend against the Chicago Bears. We'll see if the defense can build upon what they put together last weekend, and if anymore Eagles defenders can grade among the best in the league for Week 9.
