A reddit user put together a chart of all Eagles preseason wins and their corresponding regular season record since 2002. That data shows that the team has done much better when only winning 1 or 2 games.
Doug Pederson is also not a fan of winning games in the preseason.
I get the sense that a lot of Eagles fans shared the belief that preseason dominance might not be such a good thing, and now we some data to back that up and also see that coach doesn't much care for it either.
While there are certainly some things Birds fans would like to see cleaned up over the final two preseason games, we can rest easy knowing that things have worked out better when the Eagles close the preseason with just a win or two.
