We Now Have a Nickname For the Eagles Wide Receiver Trio

Last season Carson Wentz's favorite target was Zach Ertz, as he helped Ertz set a new NFL record for most receptions by a tight end in a season. This year though it seems like Wentz will be sharing the ball throughout the rest of the offense.

The trio of DeSean Jackson, Nelson Agholor and Alshon Jeffery figure to be one of the best wide receiver groups in the NFL, and it didn't take long for them to make an impact in their first game together. Jackson, Agholor and Jeffrey combined for 15 receptions, 214 yards and four touchdowns.

If the three of them can contribute like that every game, they're gonna have to have a nickname that fans and media can refer to them by. It seems like Alshon Jeffery has already established a name for the group: The DNA Boys

For those who don't feel like trying to use their thinking caps to guess what DNA means, it's the initial of all three of their first names: D for DeSean, N for Nelson and A for Alshon.

Now the 'DNA Boys' will have to head into Atlanta on Sunday Night Football to try to start the season 2-0. The Falcons' defensive backs figure to be more of a challenge than the Redskins were on Sunday, so now there will be a real test for the group to still be impactful weapons for Carson Wentz.
