Nick Foles Won’t be Playing Against the Eagles

Nick Foles versus Carson Wentz, the new rivalry of the NFL. This match up is one that Eagles fans can’t wait to watch unravel, two amazing quarterbacks that led us to our first Super Bowl, name a better match up then that. This matchup is gonna have to be put on hold though since Nick Foles will be sitting this preseason game out.

Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone plans on sitting most of his starters tonight against the Eagles, but playing them next week against the Dolphins. Marrone claims this is just his ”smarter approach“ to preseason after losing so many key guys but is he just scared to see Foles play against a team that means the world to him?

Foles says that he had a feeling they wouldn’t play him. He goes on to say “They’re family to me, always will be. So it will be good to see a lot of their faces and talk to them, see how they‘re doing.” Earlier this week Foles was asked about why he switched numbers when he signed with Jacksonville, and Foles recaptured all the hearts of Eagles fans when he said “number 9 stays in Philadelphia. That number means a lot to me. It pertains to that city.”

Unfortunately, we will have to wait a little longer to see beloved Nick Foles play against his former team, but Doug Pederson has still not made a decision about playing Carson Wentz yet.
