NFL Analyst Says Eagles Are Being Too Cocky

In his new book 'Fearless: How an Underdog Becomes a Champion', Eagles head coach Doug Pederson talks about the Jacksonville Jaguars and how they coached scared against the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game last season, which ultimately cost them a chance at playing in the Super Bowl.

It was an obvious wrong call on the Jaguars part, but on a recent episode of Speak for Yourself, NFL Analyst Jason Whitlock said that there was no need for Pederson to call out Jacksonville. Whitlock goes on to mention that Pederson, Lane Johnson, and the rest of the Eagles all are too confident after winning the Super Bowl last season.

Former Eagle Seth Joyner was there to chime in and refute Whitlock's opinion, saying confidence is key in this situation. Joyner says once a player in the league loses confidence, they won't be able to handle the competition and will falter.

For the past 50 years, Eagles fans and players were told they weren't allowed to talk until they win a championship. Now that the Eagles finally won a Super Bowl, analysts and fans are now saying fans and players can't talk now until they win two. Hopefully that means Eagles fans and players will be able to "talk" again in February 2019.
