Fantasy Football Week 4 Start or Sit

This has been a very strange year for fantasy football. We have guys like Austin Ekeler and DJ Chark as top players at their positions and other guys like Todd Gurley who can’t get it started. Let’s go over a couple players at each position that you should either start or sit in your Week 4 fantasy matchups.

QB

Start: Daniel Jones

His first game was very impressive and showed a lot of people who laughed at the Giants wrong. He can have success this year in fantasy as the Giants will play from behind in most games this season. He is a good addition to any team that needs a QB.

Sit: Carson Wentz

He’s going against a stingy defense in Green Bay. He does get one of his weapons back in Alshon Jeffery, but I don’t think that will be enough for a good fantasy day. Even though I see a win for the Eagles, I don’t think Wentz has a great game.

RB

Start: Kerryon Johnson

Yes, he has has a very slow start to the season. However, with CJ Anderson cut and him getting a career high in carries last game, Johnson has a real chance for a break out game. He will have the volume and some space to try and break off a great game on the ground.

Sit: Aaron Jones

The Eagles have been very stingy against the run game this year (allowing just 57 rushing yards/game). Tonight is no different. Jones will not have more than 40 yards on the ground against the Birds and will help you lose your matchup this week. You would be better suited to have him on your bench.

WR

Start: Nelson Agholor

Yes, he had a few bad drops the past few weeks. Yes, Alshon is back in the lineup this week. However, Nelson is clearly talented and will be heavily targeted by Wentz. I know I said Wentz will struggle, but I think a good amount of targets will come Agholor’s way and he may put up a TD or two.

Sit: Jarvis Landry

It has been rough for the Browns this year. They can’t get their offense going and Baker Mayfield has been struggling mightily. Landry has been one player that has been affected by this a lot. He has not had the volume that he has been known to have and until the Browns turn this around, it isn’t worth having him in your lineup.

TE

Start: Evan Engram

With Daniel Jones starting, Engram will be heavily targeted and will put up monster numbers. He is one of the more talented TE’s in the league and he will thrive with a QB that is not past the end of their career. Engram should be a steady starter for you team this week and the rest of the year.

Sit: OJ Howard

So Jameis Winston is a terrible QB. This is more than likely his last year with the Bucs and they will struggle with him under center. OJ Howard is very talented, but he doesn’t have a QB that can get him the ball reliably. So Howard will not be worth the start this week and should be replaced with another TE.

Defense

Start: Chargers

They are playing the Dolphins. I don’t think I have to go more in-depth here.

Sit: Bills

The Patriots have been on fire recently and I don’t see that ending this week. The Bills defense is solid, but they will not hold up against Brady and that dynamic offense they have given him this year. Keep the Bills on your bench and hope they have better luck next week.
