Eagles Sign Two-Time CFL All-Star to Futures Contract

The Eagles' front-office is continuing to try and get a head start on the 2019 season, as today they have signed two CFL players to futures contracts. Earlier in the day, the team announced they have signed WR Carlton Agudosi, and now it appears they are signing a linebacker and giving him a chance to earn a spot on the 2019 squad.

Singleton was one of six players the Eagles brought in for workouts on Christmas Eve. So far they have signed half of them.

Singleton is a two-time CFL all-star, and the reigning CFL tackle leader, collecting 123 total tackles in the 2018 season. Back in 2017 he also had 123 tackles, but added four sacks, one interception and forced one fumble, which helped him win the Most Outstanding Defensive Player Award.

The Eagles linebacker depth is fair, so Singleton has a chance to play his way into possibly making the 53-man roster in September.
