Karl Anthony-Towns is an Edison, NJ native who grew up watching Eagles football and playing basketball. He is only 22 years old, but has already turned into one of the best players in the NBA. The Minnesota Timberwolves decided they wanted to lock their franchise player to a long-term deal, and Anthony-Towns was more than happy to sign and continue playing in Minnesota. When the terms of the deal became official though, there was one part of the deal that seemed pretty ironic.
Anthony-Towns' new contract is for $5 years and $190 Million. One Eagles fan was quick to point out how ironic the deal is for the Eagles fan playing another five years in Minnesota.
$38 Million dollars is a lot of money each year. To break that down more, each year that is $1 Million for every point the Eagles scored in the NFC Championship Game against the Vikings. What would have made this deal even better is if it were for 7 years . Congrats on the new contract, 'KAT'! Keep wearing those sick Eagles sneakers too.
