Eagles Bring Back Jalen Mills on a "Prove It" Deal

Jalen Mills better stock up on more green hair dye, because the Green Goblin has signed a new one-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Mills has been a steady presence in the Eagles defensive backfield ever since being drafted in the 7th round of the 2016 draft. Since he was a late-round pick and there were no real expectations for him, Mills has surprised many by being able to start for a Super Bowl-winning defense. He sometimes gets exposed in the middle of the field on double-moves, but he has been able to make up for that with his shutdown play in the redzone.

In total, Mills has played 48 games with the Eagles, registering 209 tackles, four interceptions (one pick-six), and 37 passes defended (tied for the 12th-most in Eagles history).

Jim Schwartz loves himself some Jalen Mills, so this signing means that Mills should be penciled in as one of the two starting cornerbacks for the Eagles in 2020.
