A few years ago, the cornerback position was paper thin in Philadelphia, as fans had to watch players like Bradley Fletcherand Leodis McKelvin try to shut down Odell Beckham Jr., Dez Bryant, and DeSean Jackson multiple times a year. Well now the time has come that the team is actually overflowing with talent in the defensive backfield. So much so, that it sounds like Howie Roseman is open to trading one if he can get a player at another position or acquire some draft picks.
A trade could make sense if Roseman feels like he can get another player under contract for years to come, or a few draft picks to use in the coming seasons. But right now this team is ready for another deep playoff run, so would it really be worth it to trade a starting cornerback on a Super Bowl caliber roster? Whatever Roseman decides to do, he has earned Eagles fans' trust to make these kinds of decisions.
