DeSean Jackson Making Presence Felt Off The Field

As Eagles fans anxiously await DeSean Jackson's return to the field in midnight green, the speedy wide receiver is already making an impact off the field.

Jackson stepped up and participated in Carson Wentz's charity softball game, raising money for Wentz's AO1 Foundation at the end of May. He continued his outreach this weekend.

On Saturday, Jackson hosted a football camp for kids in North Philadelphia as one of the initiatives of the DeSean Jackson Foundation. In addition to having the opportunity to meet DeSean and receiving some on-field instruction from the wide receiver, the kids were also provided shorts and a t-shirt, as well as lunch. 6 ABC's Jeff Skversky shared some video from the event.

After providing a special day for some kids in the afternoon, Jackson continued his outreach into the night as he spent some of his evening delivering meals to the homeless in North Philadelphia. This time, NBC's John Clark reposted video that was shared by Jackson.

It's awesome seeing Jackson making such an impact in the community as he fits right in with the incredible outreach efforts that have been made by members of the team in recent years. Eagles fans were thrilled to have Jackson back for what he could provide on the football field, and now that excitement is being rewarded with off-the-field contributions. While hopes are high for what the team can accomplish this season, the players and organization continue to make it incredibly easy to cheer for them.

We are truly blessed with a special group of players who make it easy to wear our Eagles fandom with pride.
