After a disappointing start to the first half of the season, there's finally some good news to report, as quarterback Carson Wentz has been nominated for the 2018 Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award.
This is the fifth year of the award's existence, and according to the NFL:
"The award is presented each year to a player who best demonstrates the qualities of on-field sportsmanship, including fair play, respect for the game and opponents, and integrity in competition, with the winner receiving a $25,000 donation from the NFL Foundation to a charity of his choice."
In his short time in the NFL, Wentz has demonstrated excellent on-field sportsmanship along with integrity in competition. He should have a fair shot at coming home with the award.
The winner will be announced during the NFL Honorsshow, which takes place the night before Super Bowl LIII.
