Alshon Jeffrey Cleared For Contact

Good news from the NovaCare Complex this morning. Doug Pederson in his press conference revealed that Alshon Jeffrey has been cleared for contact after having offseason rotator cuff surgery.

"We're excited to get him in the mix and see where he's at", said Pederson.

Obviously this is a step in the right direction for a wide receiving corps that has been severely depleted thus far this season. However, Pederson was noncommittal as far as Jeffrey playing this Sunday against the Titans. If Jeffrey is a go, it won't be shocking to see him on a snap count.

Pederson also addressed injuries to running backs Darren Sproles (hamstring) and Jay Ajayi (back). He wouldn't commit to them playing on Sunday either, but should have an update on their availability later in the week.

Wendell Smallwood had a nice game against Indianapolis this past Sunday, getting 10 touches for 56 yards and a TD. If Ajayi and Sproles can't go against the Titans, it'll be Smallwood, Corey Clement, and Josh Adams picking up the slack.

Needless to say, getting Carson Wentz back was a huge boost for this Eagles' offense. Getting the rest of these injured skill players back can't come soon enough, particularly Jeffrey.
