Alshon Jeffery Throws Shade at Chicago While Praising Philly

Alshon Jeffery is already a legend in the city of Philadelphia. In the week leading up to the Super Bowl, he gave an interview at media day that was one to remember, and then during the actual game he caught one of the best touchdown catches in recent memory.

Today when talking with media, Jeffery said something that will add to his legend status in Philadelphia.

Jeffery was drafted by the Bears in the 2nd round of the 2012 Draft. He seemed to have a falling out with the organization when they wouldn’t give him a long-term deal for big-money. So he said goodbye to them and chose to sign a one year “prove it” deal with the Eagles because he believed in Carson Wentz, and the rest is history.

Jeffery had one opportunity to exact revenge on his former employer – back in 2017 he caught five passes for 52 yards and scored a touchdown in a 31-3 blowout of the Bears at Lincoln Financial Field. He likely would have had a bigger game if the score wasn’t so out of hand. We can look forward to Jeffery giving 110% during Sunday’s Wildcard matchup and trying his best to eliminate the team that has seemingly pissed him off.
