49ers Sign Jordan Matthews

Carson Wentz has lost some receiver targets today. First it was Golden Tate signing with the rival New York Giants, and now his BFF Jordan Matthews is heading to the west coast and signing with the 49ers.

Matthews was initially brought back to Philadelphia in Week 3 after the Eagles lost Mike Wallace to a season-ending surgery. Matthews did well in his limited role in the offense, playing in 16 total games and recording 21 catches for 337 receiving yards and  3 touchdowns.

Even after losing Golden Tate and Jordan Matthews, Carson Wentz is still loading with receiving threats. Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jacksonand Nelson Agholor will be the three main wide receivers Wentz will look for. Wentz still has Zach Ertz and Dallas Goedert as well to look for up the middle. Mack Hollins should be good to return in 2019, and maybe Howie Roseman will add a receiver in the draft.

Once again we have to say goodbye to the handshake, but maybe we'll see a part three somewhere in the distant future.
