2022 Week 11 Injury Report: Eagles at Colts

The 8-1 Philadelphia Eagles travel to Indianapolis this weekend to take on the Jeff Saturday-led Colts. The Eagles enter this game with a host of new injured players. The Colts are also dealing with a good amount of injuries and illnesses throughout their roster.

Here's a look at the Week 11 injury report for the Eagles:

Josh Jobe (hamstring)

Jobe has only played special teams snaps so far this season.

*TE Dallas Goedert (IR - shoulder)

The exact type of shoulder injury Goedert suffered hasn’t been revealed yet, but we know he is out until at least the middle of December since he is required to miss at least 4 games when placed on IR. The Eagles don’t have a surefire #2 tight end behind Goedert. Jack Stoll has played a lot of snaps this year but he has basically been a blocker. Grant Calcaterra had a 47-yard reception in Week 3 against Washington (his only reception of the season so far). The Birds also just activated QB-turned-TE Tyree Jackson. The 25-year-old hasn’t played since he tore his ACL in Week 18 last year, in a game where he recorded his first NFL receiving touchdown.

*DT Marlon Tuipulotu (IR - knee)

Tuipulotu was supposed to be the fill-in NT for Jordan Davis. The 2021 6th-round pick wasn’t terrible but wasn’t impressive either in his increased role. The Eagles added Linval Joseph and Ndamukong Suh to replace Davis and Tuipulotu.

*Avonte Maddox (IR - hamstring)

With Maddox out, expect Josiah Scott to take all of the slot corner snaps on Monday Night as he did in Week 4 against the Jaguars and Week 5 against the Cardinals.

*DT Jordan Davis (IR - ankle)

Davis' injury thankfully isn't a season-ender, but he was placed on injured reserve with his ankle injury. Even though he hasn't shown much in the stats department, he has been doing a lot of dirty work for his teammates in the limited snaps he has played this season. All four remaining healthy DTs on the roster (Fletcher Cox, Javon Hargrave, Milton Williams, Marlon Tuipulotu) will see an increase in snaps to try to offset the loss of Davis.

*DE Derek Barnett (ACL)

Barnett tore his ACL in Week 1 and is out for the rest of the season.

Here's a look at the Colts injury report:

DE Kwity Paye (ankle)

The Colts’ top pick in 2021 will miss this game. He has 4.0 sacks this season, matching his total from last year. He also added 24 tackles (6 for loss) and 6 QB hits. His main backup was Tyquan Lewis, but he is now on IR. His backup is now likely Dayo Odeyingbo. Odeyingbo was a 2021 2nd-round pick. In 20 career games he only has 16 tackles (2 for loss), 2.0 sacks, 1 forced fumble, and 6 QB hits.

TE Jelani Woods (shoulder)

Colts 3rd round pick this season. He only has 7 catches this year serving as a rotational TE, but 3 of those catches have resulted in touchdowns.

LB Zaire Franklin (illness)

Franklin has started every game this season for the Colts and didn’t miss any snaps this season until this past week. He has recorded 97 tackles (8 for loss), 0.5 sacks, 3 QB hits, and 3 passes defended. Rookie UDFA JoJo Domann is listed as the backup on the depth chart. He doesn’t have a single defensive snap yet in his career

CB Isaiah Rodgers (illness)

Kick returner and rotational defensive back. Averaging 21.8 yards per kick return. In 245 defensive snaps he has recorded 19 tackles (1 for loss), 3 forced fumbles, 1 fumble recovery, and 2 passes defended.

RT Braden Smith (back)

Smith tweaked his back in practice this week and the Colts now could be without their starting RT on Sunday. Former Eagles Matt Pryor and/or Dennis Kelly might fill in if Smith is out or leaves the game early.

*LB Shaq Leonard (IR)

One of the best linebackers in the NFL, the Eagles catch a break as he had season-ending back surgery.

*DE Tyquan Lewis (IR): Lewis was averaging 39 snaps per game when he went on IR. He wasn't very productive serving as a backup behind Kwity Paye with just 14 tackles, 1.0 sack, 1 forced fumble, and 4 QB hits.

*P Rigoberto Sanchez (IR): Sanchez tore an Achilles during the offseason. The Colts signed Matt Haack to replace him. Haack is averaging 44.1 yards per punt this season.
