2021 Week 4: Five Players to Watch

The Eagles need somewhat of a miracle to try to prevent themselves from falling to a 1-3 start to their season. If the Eagles are still in the game late in the 4th quarter, these five players will be the reason for that:

DT Javon Hargrave

Hargrave has been a superstar through the first three games. He will need to take advantage of the Chiefs' young interior o-line to push the pocket back for Patrick Mahomes, and it'll be up to the edge rushers to make sure Mahomes doesn't escape the pocket.

RB Miles Sanders

He ran the ball twice on MNF and we all saw how that turned out. Nick Sirianni will be forced to feed Sanders early and often to atone for his transgressions. It will be important for the offense to stay on the field and limit opportunities for the Chiefs offense.

WR Quez Watkins

If the running game isn't working and keeping the ball out of Mahomes' hands, the next best bet for the Eagles will be to just say "eff it" and take some deep shots. Watkins has had a few big plays this season, so there is proof that he can get open and make some plays in the open field.

S Rodney McLeod

In his first game back, McLeod will be a deciding factor, He will be responsible for making sure Tyreek Hill doesn't catch any deep balls and will have to keep an eye on any misdirection plays or reverses don't end up being game-changing plays.

LB Alex Singleton

Singleton's responsibilities aren't known yet, but he could be asked to limit Travis Kelce's YAC, or he could potentially spy Patrick Mahomes to make sure he can't escape the pocket and improvise for big plays. Whatever the case may be, Singleton will need to be a sound tackler on Sunday to limit the amount of yards the Chiefs offense gains.
