Last week, Aaron Rodgers topped our list of players to steal from the Green Bay Packers, and with Carson Wentz's performance, the Eagles definitely could have used them. This week's opponent, the New Orleans Saints boast the number one ranked defense and have plenty of offensive firepower to go with it, but there's only one player I get to steal for tomorrow's game (hypothetically, of course).
Even with Drew Brees on injured reserve, the Saints have a much better situation at quarterback than the Eagles. Taysom Hill and Jameis Winston are above average starters in the league. Alvin Kamara is one of the more dynamic running backs in the league and would be a great addition with Miles Sanders. At receiver, Michael Thomas is a workhorse and would immediately boost a mediocre group for Philadelphia.
Defensively, there are stars all over the place. Defensive end Cameron Jordan remains one of the top ends in the league. Cornerback Marshon Lattimore would be a great addition along with Darius Slay Jr., but there remains a familiar name that I would want back for this game.
I'll be the first to admit, I was off the Malcolm Jenkins train when he wanted more money to play for us. But it seems that of all the "aging" players we held on to, Jenkins would have been the best pick. It's evident there is a lack of a voice somewhere in the locker room to hold the team accountable, and it seems Jenkins most likely was that voice. It's hard to believe the team would be playing with such a lack of intensity with Jenkins on the field. This is as close to a "must-win" game with the Football Team and Giants finding their stride, and I would want Jenkins in the secondary leading the team.
Sound off below, who would YOU steal from the New Orleans Saints?
