Last week we selected offensive guard Kevin Zeitler in our new weekly article, and the Eagles definitely could have used the help on the offensive line. The rules remain the same as always: The contract does not matter, and the player must be active for the game this week.
The easiest choice here, Myles Garrett, has been put on the COVID-19 list for the week and will not be active. Imagine having Garrett and Brandon Graham on opposite sides of the defensive line against one of the top rushing duos in the league! It's definitely a blessing to not have to match up against Garrett this week, but he definitely made this decision a little tougher to make.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Cleveland Browns have A LOT of talent, especially at running back. Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt are a nasty one-two punch that could provide the Eagles a nice addition with Miles Sanders, but I'm not leaning in that direction this week. Odell Beckham Jr. is out for the rest of the year with a torn ACL, and I'll take our talent at wide receiver over Jarvis Landry.
This takes us to the defense. Linebacker B.J. Goodson leads the team in tackles and interceptions this season and has been an underrated performer for the Browns. But I'm looking for star power this week, which takes me to cornerback Denzel Ward. The former number four pick overall in the 2018 draft would be a dominant No. 2 corner for us with Darius Slay locking down Landry. This would be especially helpful with the current lack of performance from Avonte Maddox and the absent depth beyond him.
Sound off your opinion. Who would YOU take from the Browns for this upcoming matchup? Vote in our poll!
