Week 4 Matchup Between Miami and Indianapolis Will be Important for the Eagles' Future

There will be two important 1PM games for Eagles fans to watch. First, obviously, is the Eagles-Chiefs game, but the other is the matchup between the Miami Dolphins and the Indianapolis Colts.

When the Eagles traded down from the sixth overall pick in the 2020 draft, they acquired a fourth-round pick that year and also the Dolphins' first-round pick in 2021 (without restrictions or conditions). So Eagles fans need to hope for Miami to lose as many games as possible throughout the entire 2021 season.

We all know about the conditional pick the Eagles acquired from the Colts in exchange for Carson Wentz -- Wentz needs to play 75% of snaps (or 70% and playoff birth). Some fans might think a 0-3 start from the Colts is good, but it could lead to some danger if the losing trend continues.

If the Colts are out of playoff position early on, there is a strong possibility they would bench/rest a banged-up Wentz to prevent the pick from being a high first-rounder for the Birds. Obviously a first-round pick in the late-teens or early-twenties will be a lot better for the Birds rather than a high second-round pick.

Through three games Wentz has played 199/204 snaps for the Colts (98%), but foot and ankle injuries could hinder Wentz as the season progresses.

For Sunday's game, Eagles fans will probably have to root for the Colts to make sure their 2022 picks are the best that they can be.
