One of the players who spent his time with the Eagles protecting Donovan McNabb, Michael Vick and Nick Foles has officially decided to end his football career.
Today the Eagles announced that former Eagles G Todd Herremans will sign a one-day contract with the team and officially retire on Sunday.
Herremans was drafted by the Eagles in the 4th round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played in 135 games with the franchise, tied for the 20th most games played in team history. Even though he was a lineman, he still ended up with two career touchdown catches as well.
He hasn't played in the NFL since 2015, but has officially decided to call it quits, and the Eagles are glad to bring him back and honor him as one of the franchise's most reliable players. Happy retirement, Todd!
