What a great time to be an NFL bettor. Well, let's see if I'm saying that come Monday morning. As we approach the Week 8 trade deadline, most teams in the NFL have established their identity to sports bettors. The Raiders hate the under, the Cowboys hate the spread, the Jets hate winning football games. Logically, it would be easier to bet as the season goes on. But where would the fun in that be?

The Eagles have scored 25, 29, and 30 points against the 49ers, Steelers, and Ravens, three of the best defenses in the league. Dallas is on pace to have the worst defense in almost 60 years. I honestly struggled between the spread and over 43.5 because I can see both being a reality. Luckily I got in early when the spread was -9.5 so I cash out on a touchdown and a field goal. Either way, Dallas is more than likely going to start a quarterback whose initials are literally B.A.D. And that's just great for business.

To consider betting this line, you have to ask yourself "can the Chiefs beat the Jets by three touchdowns?" And the answer is yes. The Jets have -17 point differential this year, and are now playing Patrick Mahomes.
