Okay, the Eagles are in a dark place right now. They desperately need a win on Sunday in Buffallo to stay relevant in the NFC. There's Alshonymous.... I'm sorry, I mean "anonymous" sources trashing Carson Wentz. Lane Johnson says people are late for meetings. All this after a drubbing in Dallas that may very well be the Eagles most embarrassing loss in my lifetime.
All that being said, just when I think maybe we can look forward to a ball game Sunday to see if this team can handle adversity or truly is a dumpster fire, here comes career scrub (and former Dallas Cowboy) Orlando Scandrick adding fuel to the fire on Undisputed with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe.
I don't even want to quote Scandrick because I just don't have it in me to take any more of this off field drama. You're welcome to watch the video though. Needless to say, Scandrick did not paint the prettiest picture of the Eagles organization and just aired it out for everyone to see.
Is there some truth to what was said? Probably. Consider the source though. Sounds like someone is a little bitter after being released and it's really classy on Scandrick's part to air his grievances on a national TV show instead of, oh I don't know, trying to get another job? Yet just earlier this month, the Eagles organization was praised by two other players on their way out the door.
It is what it is. It's been an ugly week for the Eagles. Really is has been an ugly season. There's not a lot of reason for optimism. The problems are clear. This team is injury ridden, old, and needs to start hitting on draft picks. All that aside, it's still a week to week league and we're going to find out what this team is really made of come Sunday. A win in Buffalo will be a step in the right direction. A loss and things may get a lot worse before they get better. Soon, we'll all find out.
