Sidney Jones Escapes Sunday's Game Without Major Injury

We all know that Sunday's game against the Vikings is something we'd like to forget. The game was unpleasant to watch, but it almost turned into a disaster when Sidney Jones laid on the field late in the game with an injury to his lower leg/foot.

Jones was able to walk off the field and put pressure on his injury, which was a good sign. After the game, Jones talked with media and revealed the extent of his injury.

A twisted ankle shouldn't hold him out of action for long. Although since the Eagles turn right around and play on Thursday night in New York, there could be a slight chance the ankle nags him enough to keep him inactive, or keep him in a limited role on the field. If the game was on Sunday in all likelihood this injury would have been of no concern, but this will be something worth keeping an eye on.

With Jalen Mills spiraling out of control and being a liability as the one of the starting cornerbacks on the field, Jones will be the first choice to replace Mills once Jim Schwartz is ready to make a switch to his defensive scheme. This injury shouldn't get in the way of this inevitable depth chart change.
