RUMOR: Eagles Looking to Add Yannick Ngakoue?

The Eagles made a blockbuster deal this morning to acquire 29-year-old star cornerback Darius Slay. Rumor has it though that Howie Roseman isn't done wheeling and dealing to bring in superstars.

ESPN's Josina Anderson, who was the first one to report the Slay to Philly deal, posted this on Twitter this morning.

Yes, that tweet is extremely vague and might not be about the Eagles. However, if you go to disgruntled pass rusher Yannick Ngakoue's "likes" page on Twitter, he likes a few tweets connecting him to the Birds.

In four seasons, the soon-to-be 25-year-old has produced 37.5 sacks and 85 QB hits. With that kind of production and still approaching the prime of his career, it shouldn't surprise anyone that Howie Roseman might be on the phone with Jacksonville to find out the price for Ngakoue's services. Since he is franchise-tagged by the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Birds will likely have to give up a few valuable assets if they want to bolster their defensive line into one of the best overall units in the league.

Putting out Ngakoue with Brandon Graham and having Derek Barnett, Josh Sweat and Genard Avery rotate in would certainly push the Eagles into having top-five sack numbers as a team in 2020.

We will keep a close eye on Ngakoue's Twitter feed to see if he leaks any kinds of information regarding a trade to become an Eagle.
