The Eagles lost two of their safeties to free agency today. First it was Jalen Mills leaving for New England, and now it's Rudy Ford who is leaving Philadelphia to join the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Jaguars are (for some reason) paying Ford $4.2 Million over the next two years.
The Eagles first acquired Ford before the 2019 season in a trade with the Arizona Cardinals. The oft-injured special teams ace missed 14 games over the past two seasons. In total, Ford played only 63 defensive snaps for the Birds, and 351 special teams snaps.
