The Eagles are losing another member of the Super Bowl LII squad, as safety Rodney McLeod is finalizing a contract with the Indianapolis Colts.
Initially signing with the Eagles as a free agent in 2016, McLeod spent six seasons with the Birds. He played 80 games (including postseason) in midnight green, registering 370 tackles, 11 interceptions, 35 passes defended, 3.0 sacks, and three fumble recoveries (one for a touchdown).
The only experiences safeties on the current roster now are Anthony Harris and Marcus Epps. Maybe McLeod leaving town means the Eagles have their eyes fully set on signing Tyrann Mathieu.
The Eagles are now down to nine players left from the Super Bowl LII roster: Brandon Graham, Fletcher Cox, Jason Kelce, Lane Johnson, Isaac Seumalo, Rick Lovato, Jake Elliott, Derek Barnett, and Greg Ward (practice squad member in 2017).
