Rodney McLeod's Health Status Still Unknown

The Eagles escaped Sunday's game against the Colts with a narrow win, although the team might have left the game with a hole in their secondary.

During the 3rd quarter of the game, Eagles CB Jalen Mills went helmet first into S Rodney McLeod's right knee. McLeod left the game in obvious pain but did not return. After the game, McLeod said to reporters that he felt okay, but would undergo more tests to find out the severity of his injury.

At his press conference today, Head Coach Doug Pederson said that the team still does not know the extent of McLeod's injury.

If McLeod has to miss extended time with his injury, the team might look for outside help to replace his production. Corey Graham did step-in for McLeod against the Colts, and was able to fill-in and contribute to the Eagles defense that helped keep the Colts out of the end zone at the end of the game. Chris Maragos will miss at least the next three games with his injury, and the only other Safety on the roster is Deiondre' Hall.

Outside help could come in the form of a free agent defensive back (Eric Reid, T.J. Wardand Mike Mitchell are the most notable on that market). Or maybe the team might look to bring in help via trade (Earl Thomas has made it known he wants to be traded if he doesn't get a new contract).
