REPORT: Eagles Sign Malik Jackson to Three-Year Contract

The Eagles have found the guy they want next to Fletcher Cox for the next three seasons.

Today it was reported by ESPN's Josina Anderson and Adam Schefter that the Eagles will be signing DT Malik Jackson to a three year deal worth $30 Million.

Jackson has played in 110 career games, compiling 32.5 sacks, 55 tackles for loss, 86 QB hits, 23 passes defended, and 6 forced fumbles.

With the Eagles recently declining Tim Jernigan's option, the team was in need of a strong defensive tackle to compliment Fletcher Cox. Jackson hasn't missed a game in the past six seasons, so his ability to stay on the field and produce will allow either Cox or himself to bring pressure up the middle, making life easier for the Eagles secondary.

With the defensive tackle position locked up, Howie Roseman can now focus on improving other areas of the roster.
