With Free Agency starting in a few short days, we will be finding out what Howie Roseman's plans are for his 2019 team. Today though we did find out that Roseman seems to be very interested in retaining his soon-to-be free agent cornerback Ronald Darby.
In the podcast, Darby mentions that the Eagles do want him back in midnight green in 2019 and beyond, and he loves it here enough to be willing to stay if the money is right. Rapaport later mentions in his podcast that the Eagles made a hard push during the season to re-sign Darby, but couldn't get a deal done then. Darby makes it known at the end of the podcast that "everything has to be right financially at the end of the day", which seemingly means he's only going to end up where he is offered the most money.
With that interview in mind, the likely case will be that Darby and his agent will find out some numbers from other teams when the legal tampering period for free agents starts tomorrow. After they gage the interest and find out contract numbers, Darby will make his choice and we could find that information out even before the official start of Free Agency.
