A few days ago DeSean Jackson broke his ring finger in practice, which put his Week 1 availability in jeopardy.
Eagles fans can let out a sigh of relief now, as Eagles Insider Dave Spadaro said on tonight's broadcast that Jackson will be good to play against his former team, the Washington Redskins, next Sunday.
While he is cleared to play next week, it is still unclear just how effective Jackson will be on the field with a broken finger. Doug Pederson might decide to use him strictly as a decoy and let him still try to take the top off of the Redskins defense. If the ball does come his way, the pain from the finger might cause Jackson to drop balls that he would normally catch.
Regardless of how he is used, Jackson being in the lineup next week is great news for the Eagles, and he will receive a standing ovation from the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field when he takes the field.
