Yesterday news broke that the Eagles have contacted the Cardinals about cornerback Patrick Peterson. Today a new update has come out, showing that the Eagles are pretty serious about bringing in the Pro-Bowl cornerback.
Peterson's cousin initially say that Peterson preferred to head to the New Orleans Saints, but the Saints just acquired Eli Apple so they aren't likely to make anymore trades for corners.
The Eagles draft picks would be important next year and in the coming years, because once Carson Wentz gets his inevitable mega-deal, the team will have to rely on finding draft gems instead of signing Free Agents. With an All-Pro cornerback like Peterson available though, and the Eagles window to become a dynasty being right now, it's worth Howie Roseman trying all he can do to bring him in.
