Since 2013, Eagles fans have been spoiled by having Jason Kelce and Lane Johnson on the same offensive line protecting their quarterbacks. Fans know that Kelce and Johnson are among the best linemen in the entire NFL. Well this past Tuesday one of those players was recognized as one of the best, while the other was snubbed.
On The Monday Morning NFL Podcast, Kelce was named the 3rd-best lineman in the entire league, while Johnson was inexplicably left out of the top-10. Johnson was not pleased to see that he was left out of the mix.
The isn't the first time Johnson was snubbed from being recognized as being among the best at his position. First he was not named to the Pro Bowl (but was later added on as an alternate). After the season, Johnson also wasn't named an All-Pro.
Johnson will definitely have enough bulletin board material for the 2019 season. He will be determined to prove his doubters wrong by keeping Carson Wentz upright as much as possible. If Wentz is named Most Valuable Player this season, Johnson will play a big part in that, and hopefully he will be recognized for his efforts.
