For years Eagles fans have known they have had a special center in Jason Kelce. The Associated Press also have known that Jason Kelce is one of the best players in the NFL, naming him as an All-Pro selection the past two seasons. But for some reason his fellow colleagues have never given him the recognition as being one of the league's best players - until now.
Last night the NFL Network continued their unveiling of the Top 100 Players in the NFL List which was put together by players in the league. Jason Kelce came in at number 72 on this year's list.
His teammates and his competitors all had good things to say about Kelce when asked about him.
Kelce told reporters earlier this offseason that he is already considering retirement and is basically taking things year-by-year. We might not have the pleasure of watching Jason Kelce play for much longer, but whenever he does hang his cleats up, he will be considered arguably the best center in Eagles history (next to Chuck Bednarik) and a Philadelphia legend for his Super Bowl speech. Not bad for a 6th round draft pick who we didn't have much expectations for when he first arrived to Philly.
