Jalen Mills to Start Training Camp on PUP List

The Eagles had many devastating injuries towards the middle and end of the 2018 season. There were some concerns that those injuries would cut into the beginning of the 2019 season, but the team released good news today in that department, as Jalen Mills was the only player put on the Physically Unable to Perform list.

A report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said to expect Ronald Darby to be on the PUP list, but Darby participated in today's Training Camp practice.

The timing of the Mills news is interesting though, as last week Mills put out a video montage of him working out with his foot looking fine.

That should be evidence of the team probably taking a cautious approach with Mills' return to the field and full practices. There will likely be only a small chance of him beginning the regular season on the PUP list.

As previously mentioned when there was assumption that Darby was going to miss time, Mills not being available for Training Camp means that the other cornerbacks will have more practices and reps to show that they can earn more playing time and force Jim Schwartz to keep Mills on the bench. The Green Goblin is Schwartz's favorite cornerback though so it'll be tough for those corners to overtake that thrown from Mills.
