Last season the Eagles started the year with two players on the Physically Unable to Perform List (Chris Maragos and Tim Jernigan). This year that number has been cut by 50%, as Jalen Mills is the only Eagles player to start the season on that list.
Mills injured his foot last year when in London for the Jaguars game. His injury was significant enough to need surgery, and it seems like Mills will need the few extra weeks to get back to 100%. Cre'Von LeBlanc suffered the same type of injury as Mills the first day of Training Camp, but his wasn't severe enough to require surgery. There is still a chance LeBlanc will need to be put on Injured Reserve due to the injury.
For the Redskins game it appears the Eagles will only have four healthy cornerbacks: Ronald Darby, Sidney Jones, Avonte Maddox, and Rasul Douglas. The team will likely either get a 5th cornerback off of waivers this weekend, or wait until after Week 1's game to sign one off the street.
