Jalen Mills Arrested After Fight With NBA Player

Updated: May 8, 2019

The Eagles are in the news today, but it has nothing to do with the upcoming NFL Draft.

According to NBC, Eagles cornerback Jalen Mills was arrested in Washington D.C. following a fight with NBA player Devin Robinson Washington Wizards on the sidewalk next to the Opera Night Club shortly before 3 a.m.

NBC says:

"Mills was arrested for disorderly affray, which is a charge for public fighting. Robinson was also arrested for disorderly affray and taken to Sibley Hospital for treatment of his injuries."

A new nugget of news from Philly.com's Les Bowen claims that Robinson was the aggressor in the situation, claiming that he didn't like a non-Redskins player hanging out in D.C.

We will have to wait and see if the NFL has any disciplinary actions for Mills, and if not maybe the Eagles themselves will give Mills a fine or suspension directly from them if they deem it necessary.

This is the first Eagles player to be arrested since Daryl Worley was arrested last April (although technically he never played with the Eagles as he was acquired only a month before via trade). If you don't count Worley, the last previous arrest was Josh Huff back in 2016.

Sounds like Mills at least won the fight though, so the Eagles are 1-0 verses D.C. so far in 2019.
