Is Now the Time to Trade for Ramsey?

It looks like Kirk Cousins wasn't a fan of Eagles linebacker Zach Brown's comments and he showed it on Sunday for sure. Cousins showed up and threw for 333 yards and four touchdowns. The Eagles cornerbacks were exposed horribly, and without sugar coating they need to fix it or they can have no chance of winning in the postseason (there is hope on the horizon though with Jalen Mills and Cre'Von LeBlanc returning in the coming weeks).

It's a well known fact that the Jacksonville Jaguars all-pro corner back Jalen Ramsey is unhappy in his current home and has been demanding a trade. The team has been asking for a very high price of at least two 1st round draft picks, and there have been indications that the Eagles are willing to pay that price. Even after the Eagles said they would be willing to pay Jaguars asking price, Jaguars owner Shad Khan has been unwilling to part ways with his defensive all-star. I can't say I blame him Jalen Ramsey is one of the league's premier corners.

According to a report by NJ.com, Khan mentioned that they were going to do "what is in the best interest for both parties." Since Ramsey has shown no signs of backing down, it would appear that it would be in the best interest to trade him and net the high price he is worth. The Eagles need a lot of help in the secondary. Personally, I don't believe that Jalen Ramsey would solve all of their problems, but there is no denying that he would surely make an impact. With a guy like Ramsey on the team, it can really free up the safeties to fly around and make more plays on the parts of the field that aren't covered by Ramsey.

This could be a really good move even for the asking price, but the trade deadline is at the end of the month and Ramsey is still a Jaguar. Only time will tell to see how this plays out.
