The Eagles pulled off the upset of this entire NFL season with their win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 14. Along with the great play of the current Eagles, we saw some solid performances by former Eagles players this past week. Let’s take a look at some Week 14 matchups and how some former Eagles fared for their current teams.
Agholor and the Raiders lost to the Indianapolis Colts this past week 44-27. Agholor had another solid performance and led his team in receiving yards, finishing with five receptions on nine targets for 100 yards and a touchdown. He continues to shine each week in the Raiders' offense, and with Henry Ruggs out for this week's game, Agholor might continue to be the #1 receiver for Derek Carr.
This past week Hicks and the Arizona Cardinals beat up on the New York Giants 26-7. The Cardinals defense forced five fumbles and recorded eight sacks (five of them from Temple alum Haason Reddick). Hicks led the Cardinals in total tackles (eight). Hicks will face his former team this week as he will try to have a revenge game against the Eagles. With the Cardinals defense playing strongly, they will be a tough matchup for AFC opponents in the postseason.
Hollins has not been much of a presence on offense for the Dolphins since his arrival there late last season. Before this week, his season-high in receptions was two, his high in targets was three, and his highest yardage in a game was 19 yards. This past week against the Kansas City Chiefs was his best week, as Hollins had five receptions on nine targets for 66 yards. With the Dolphins continuing to deal with injuries to their receiver depth, Hollins might continue being a factor in their offense.
