Here's Why the Eagles Will Put Dak on the Ground Often on Sunday

Halfway through the 2018 season, the Eagles pass rush has been underwhelming. After picking up Michael Bennett and Haloti Ngata in the offseason, the Eagles front seven was supposed to be one of the best in the entire league. So far they have done so-so, coming in at T-14th in the NFL in sacks with 22. The Defensive Line has caused a lot of quarterback hurries and has been a split second away from sacking the quarterback multiple times this season. On Sunday against the Cowboys though, things might change.

Dak Prescott has been extremely slow at getting the football out of his hands this season, and that has caused the Cowboys offensive line to allow 28 sacks this season, which is the 6th-most allowed in the NFL so far. Things might get even worse for the Cowboys offensive line too, as left guard Connor Williams will miss this game after getting arthroscopic knee surgery this week. With Williams out there might be a new rotation for the Cowboys line, which will either open things up for Fletcher Cox or for Brandon Graham to get to Prescott more often.

If the Eagles can't put Prescott on the ground early and often on Sunday night, they will be hearing some boos from the fans.
